Model United Nations and Youth Parliament

MUN and Youth Parliament is a platform where participants role-play as UN and political delegates and engage in the cornerstones of UN and national activity, such as negotiations, discussions, and lively debates.

Debate and Public Speaking

Effective Public speaking skills demonstrate creativity, critical thinking skills, leadership skills, composure, and, professionalism, which can help advance your career. Good public speaking skills are also important in other areas of life.

Critical Thinking and Constructive Communication

Critical thinkers are more aware of their beliefs, experience and, prejudices. At Arcus, we value critical thinking to create trust in communication

Presentation, Research and, Writing Skills

When students produce creative and interesting ways to generate innovative ideas research enables them to examine various topics in-depth and gain a thorough understanding of them. Writing skills enable them to write formal letters and engage in formal written conversations

Diplomacy and Leadership Skills

Diplomatic Leadership requires a person to be a good manager, a resilient negotiator, and a trusted adviser. It allows them to raise awareness and assist people. This includes negotiations, advocacy of interests and policies, public remarks, and conflict resolution..

Promotion of Sustainable Development Goals

The SDGs encourage long term economic growth, increased productivity, and technological innovation. At Arcus, we work to promote and instill the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals

Why Arcus MUN

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the 3rd Edition of Arcus Model United Nations, which will be held on August 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2022.

Arcus MUN has given young students the opportunity to learn about contemporary global crises, lobby and debate on these issues in front of a public quorum, and explore the world of MUN. Participants at Arcus MUN work together and are eager to come up with useful resolutions this year, devoting their efforts to diplomacy. I have no doubt that this year will meet, if not exceed, those expectations.

Since its inception in 2018, Arcus MUN has grown from a small event to an internationally known conference with more than 500+ attendees from all around the world. Arcus MUN has provided a forum for young, diligent students interested in politics and international relations to improve their debating, public speaking, and communication skills, as well as their overall understanding and involvement in global concerns. I can speak for the Secretariat-General when I say that we find this extremely motivating, and our goal is to ensure that Arcus MUN not only continues, but also improves upon its success.

We intend to put on the best Arcus MUN yet, leaving everyone with a wealth of new information and abilities, as well as innumerable memories and new connections. As our logo depicts "Peace," we are on track to develop and maintain peace in the world this year. We chose the United Nations 16th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) "Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions" as the theme for this year's conference, since we support developing international institutions that safeguard human rights.

As members of the Arcus MUN Family, we are excited to witness the kids brawl for peace and stand as the United Nations in August, as we think that this conference will provide each participant a broader perspective, allowing them to become more confident, knowledgeable, and self-aware individuals. I hope that our months of hard effort will exceed your expectations, and that we will not fail to achieve the UN's Millennium Development Goals.

Hoping for a positive response!

Message from the Secretary General

It gives me great pleasure to announce the dates for this year's Arcus Model United Nations, which will be held on August 12-14, 2022.

Our conference's motto remains the same as last year, namely, to promote peace. Aside from our aim, which promises to be three days of engaging diplomacy, powerful rhetoric, and fruitful debate, we've opted to provide 11 committees to ensure that there's something for everyone.

The agendas for the committee meetings are carefully selected to match Arcus Model United Nations' vision.

We want to start a campaign that focuses on our main goal, the 16th Sustainable Development Goal. World support will propel the campaign to achieve new heights, allowing Arcus Model UN to uphold its pledge of working for the betterment of people, for the betterment of society.

Hope for a fruitful association,

Sidhartha S. Gandhi

Secretary General
